I don't know what to say, that voice annoys. My wife told me to turn it off.
I shall remember this ad, but I wont be thinking of Best Buy, I will be thinking annoying ad.
On a different note, I was thinking back to the movie Lethal Weapon where Chris Rock is describing how old phones are. He had to dial it for what seemed like forever and the quality sucked and he made an impersonation of the clicking sounds. 1 click... 4 click... and so on. Back to today, point is older phones are annoying on their own. They lack features that people want, it's not some annoying voice that makes them stand out. It's what they are. I used to carry around a phone from the early 90's when I was in college back in the early 00's and people made fun me for carrying what looked like a brick. That thing stuck out. The flip phones from a few years ago sure stand out against the touch screen smart phones now...
That all being said, if you lost the annoying voice it wouldn't be the same, maybe not effective, but maybe so. I would kind of like to see people being chased by their giant old flip phones while people laughed at them. "Is your old phone upsetting you, it might be time to change it." Still crazy, but the voice is gone.
Just my opinion.
