When it comes to taking a stand, one must ensure he/she is, in fact, standing in the right place.

The Depot is a popular music venue located in downtown Salt Lake City. As I was walking by the area yesterday I noticed a small protest taking place on the sidewalk out front. Apparently, said protestors were sickened with the way Office Depot was treating their employees. Unfortunately, they were standing in front of The Depot. Not Office Depot.

Bless their black and blue hearts.

there's actually an Office Depot on the other side of THE Depot, but I'm imagining they couldn't stand on Rio Grande (the street that runs up the middle of the gateway) as I'm thinking it's considered private property, much as the main street plaza area is next to the SLC Temple. Thus 4th west. (Higher visibility as well)

It's still a little funny.

What's more funny is that the guys holding those signs are usually temporary workers hired by unions for almost no money.

Think of the business they're drumming up for Office Depot. . .someone stops in their car
"oh, I'm looking for Office Depot. . . where is it?"
"around the corner"
"Thanks!!"
