Ten incredible years.

Today, Hailey and I celebrate ten years of marriage. And as we attempted to have a romantic dinner tonight in celebration, a small newborn quickly reminded us that ten years is just the beginning. Much to the dismay of the other restaurant patrons, Graham stretched out his vocal cords despite our plan for him to sleep through the meal in his car seat.

But, ten years of marriage has taught us how to improvise. So while Hailey calmed Graham down by holding him in her arms, I cut up her dinner into little bite-size pieces (like what I do for Jamion) so she could eat with her one free hand.

Of course, the night was short as we had to get home to relieve the babysitter. Two hours later I finally had the kids in bed. I can't help but wonder what this night will be like in another ten years. Then I realize Berlin will be 16 years old and able to babysit Jamison and Graham while we go out. But then again, she'll also be old enough to date.

Hmm. I think we'll stick with where we are now.

That is so crazy to think of our girls being 16! I hope they can stay close so that when one of them is naughty they can get sent to Uncle Steve and Aunt Hailey or vice versa.

Yes, and unfortunately that 10 years will be here before we all know it.
