This is what happiness looks like.

School's in.

Yup, it's that time of year again. School. This year, Berlin is entering Kindergarten whilst her little sibling, James, is rockin' Preschool. Berlin did two years of Preschool, so this makes her third school year. She's practically a first-day-of-school veteran. But today marks the very first day of school for lil' James. Monumental indeed.

So today I sat down with Berlin and James to play dinosaurs. Berlin wanted to make it a family theme. So she was the Mommy dinosaur, I was the Daddy and James had two dinosaurs that were the big sister and baby brother. The following scenario ensued.

BERLIN: Okay, Daddy dinosaur is going to stay with you two kids while I go to pilates.

The Boulder Country Fair is upon us again.

Every year, Hailey and I like to subject our kids to a brutal lesson in true American culture. Otherwise known as the country fair. We loaded up on cotton candy, bought unlimited ride wristbands and went to town. Much fun was had by all.

James sported a righteous blue cotton candy beard for most of the night.


While this year was not nearly as eventful as last year, and DEFINITELY not as eventful as the year before that, it was a fun-filled time nonetheless.
