Remember that one time when I blew up a car?

Well, last week I flipped a car over. Definitely not half as exciting as blowing one up, but still pretty fun to do.

Diet update.

Still going strong. Yesterday was a true test of my commitment to this. It was a shoot day for me. The Kraft Services table was in full effect with every sugary goodie imaginable - all tempting me with their sugary goodness and yummy deliciousness. But said temptation was no match for the power of my will. I'm proud to say that I overcame the temptation and ate nothing but carrot sticks and fruit.

So wait, nobody wins?

Saturday night I happened upon some free tix to an LA Galaxy game. I thought to myself, "Oh hey, that's the team with that David Beckham guy that Hailey is always talking about. Hmm, wait a minute, she sure talks about him a lot. Like a LOT. Wait a minute."

In any event I decided it would make for an entertaining evening. After battling the ever-so-fun-to-drive 405, we finally arrived at the Home Depot Center. And by finally arrived I mean we were escorted to the nearest parking facility which just so happened to be closer to Colorado than the stadium.

So we hoofed it. Finally, we arrived.

ME: Hey Mike, what entrance has our tickets?

MIKE: Southwest.

ME: Awesome.

MIKE: What?

ME: We just walked all the way to the Northeast entrance.

MIKE: Awesome.

Around the stadium we went. Eventually, we got in. The stadium was abuzz with excitement. And as the game progressed, I think I was probably one of the most excited people there. I even got this comment from someone in our party. "Hey, Steve. You are the only one standing up. You can probably sit down now."

What can I say? I got into it. And this Beckham dude that Hailey talks about so much was the real deal. The game was intense. We had headers, yellow cards, slide tackles, monster kicks, collisions, the works! They brought a tied score right down to the wire. Right down to the final second of play. And then...

Then...

It was over?

No overtime?

No kick off?

That's it? It's just a tie? We're to go home now? It's two to two. Who won? I'm supposed to walk all the way back to my car now? Really? Everyone is cool with this? Shouldn't we have some sort of sudden death or something? Arm wrestle? Anything? We're all cool with this, really?

"Steve, the game is over. Go. C'mon, move. We're leaving."

Please, someone make this day be over already.

Do you ever have those days where you swear you just can't win? Today is one of those days. In fact, I feel like my life should be on the Fail Blog.

I'm off again to my second home.

In ten minutes I am going to depart to my second home, the Viceroy Santa Monica. I am scheduled to be there for two days shy of a month. But the good news? Hailey Happens will be joining me for a few days. Blog updates of our shenanigans and whatnot to follow. (Probably on her blog since we all know I suck at keeping mine updated these days.)

I am Diet.

It officially starts today. The road to a new me. But I shall not be traveling said road alone. No, I will have the guiding hand of a personal trainer. And just who might this personal trainer be, you ask? None other than Hailey. And she means business. I woke up to the following email.

Here is a list of things that are not allowed anymore.
- Carbonated drinks
- Candy, cake, cookies, etc.
- Pop tarts, donuts, streusels, or anything else you can find at 7-11
- Red meats
- Late night meals after 9pm
- Ice cream

Things you CAN have:
- Fruits
- Veggies
- Nuts
- Whole wheat sandwiches
- Chicken, turkey, etc.
- Trail mix
- Energy bars
- Sorbet

She then went on to give some other guidelines. And then she put the fat-free icing on the cake (so to speak) with this:

You must blog weekly to report how you are doing to stay motivated. Plan for a big prize when you reach your 10 lb. weight loss goal. What is it going to be?

So, here you go, folks. This is my first official report. I am starting.

But, one burning question remains. What should be my "big prize?"

UPDATE: My trainer is HOT!
