05.10 - Fly from LA to SLC

05.11 - Close on home in Utah

05.12 - Load up truck

05.13 - Drive family to Boulder, CO

05.14 - Turn 30

05.15 - Close on home in Colorado (Hope the moving truck shows up)

05.16 - Fly from Denver to LA

05.23 - Fly from LA to Denver

05.24 - FINALLY have time with my family

Yes, I'm sensitive.

Moments ago, a coworker sent this link around. I don't know if it's because I've been without my family for so long or what, but this sucker done made tears roll down my face. And yes, I know I've used this blog before to admit the shedding of tears over episodes of Extreme Makeover Home Edition, but this is different. This is one of the most amazing displays of love, strength and commitment that I've ever witnessed. So grab a couple tissues and prepare to be moved.

How did I ever survive before I met Hailey?

I've been a bachelor for about two weeks now. I live in a motel. I have a bottle of water and some butter packets in the fridge. I'm almost completely out of clean clothes. I've had the Grilled Steak Burrito combo meal from Taco Bell nearly every night and waffles from the continental breakfast every morning. I have sideburns the size of two minivans and worked 97 hours last week. I haven't had a full night's sleep since I got here. My only friend is a Residence Inn maintenance guy who has been working on the unit below mine. He's from New Mexico and likes sports.

I'm counting the minutes.

I've slacked on my bloggage.

Sustained posting will resume sometime soon. Like, sometime when I don't live in a motel room.
